Well I think that this is great for the most part. But to be honest, as I should be, and input should be given and I as a moderator on another site, and I have experience in these types of ideas.
If you want members or users to forward their questions only to Thermo for instance, then you may want to consider creating an THERMO"S Electrical related sub-forum or sticky thread in the Electical forum for just that. The reason I state this is, in the future with some, that if they open up a thread saying HEY THERMO, and it is pertaining to a question in a open forum, then some may want to give their own input as with any and all threads are for this reason, quoting as to their experiences with said problem. In the beginning of something like this, I have seen quarrelling start to happen as offense has been taken from eihter the OP or the person asked. Not to say that would happen here, but we all are human and human nature does seem to fall into that MURPHY's LAW syndrome. The OP will consider it a invasion of their thread as it was meant to be aimed to one person and one person only. But as some threads do happen to go south real quick from others getting involved which should be welcomed as it is indeed a public forum.
Here is a another idea, and this is a method as we have found great when it comes to trouble shooting threads. After the OP asks its question, and then the problem has been solved, the OP will state the problem is solved. If it was not from any response in the thread, but that of their own doing, then the OP writes what he or she did to solve the problem. If the problem was solved from a response from a member then he states what it was. Then the MODS or ADMIN or OP posts a sub heading in the OP's original question stating problem found and problem solved, and links the post number for all to go directly to instead of going through 4-5 pages of what if and what could of happened. This especially works great when the search function is used by members or users and prevents or helps eliminates unneccessary page after page reading and also the same ole same ole questions being asked. Now I know this will not prevent the LAZY syndrome from happening and the question will be asked anyway due to said phrase "LAZY SYNDROME".
This is only ideas and seems to work in other forums I am involved with.
