What I wanted you to do was to put a jumper on the switch to see if the switch was a problem but it won't hurt to install a new switch

These instructions I have tried several times in 6 months.

BUT I now added -
After initial 2 second hold wait 3 seconds and hold (down) 2 more seconds. Same thing at the top.
Finally, my windows works.
