Go for it. Do you think you can get into the 11's?????

Not with the eaton alone. Well unless I port the heads, optimize the tune, change gear ratio and converter then it may be possible ?!

Low 12's are more realistic. Small 50 shot of nitrous would do it though.

Change blower with a whipple or turbo and the sky is the limit. Stock lightning eaton just is not designed to flow that much air. Most lightning guys top out short of 600 rwhp with the eaton. The expy needs 600 to run in the 11's.

I kno im new and people are guna hate on me as i dont have any pics up just talk but plez wait on the hate lol ill post pics 2morow , Wat is the record that anyone knos about for a 03-06 expo in the 1/4 i ran 11.20 in bradenton fl about a month ago i have whipple charged 06 23 PSI with a 150 Shot progressive nitrous the 11.20 was without the nitrous all motor never ran the nitrous yet will be in next few weeks

SG towing any of these guys get together around here and run at bradenton? Or sunshine when they reopen? id like to get together with some expos and go to the track for some fun , I wana run this ZEX Kit see wat i get, Prlly a blown up rearend lol

Damn!! Where did you come from? I have searched for hours for other expy drag racers. But this is limited to whats available online of course.

Mine is the first and only expy in the 12's that I have been able to find but was sure there had to be others out there. You will have to post some video so we can see a 11 second Expy! That is awesome.

As far as Expy members here I am the only one that races the expy that I am aware of. There are other blown expys here though. Your the only one running a whipple.

I will definately be interested in seeing yours when you get it posted.

LOL Ill post pics when i get to shop computer in morning, to bad we are so far apart we could have a riot at the track, i raced a guy in a 85 turbo mustang and beat him by like 2 tenths and he flipped out didnt kno wat hit him as well as everyone at the track tht day i had a 300 person circle trying to see wat was under the hood lol i dnt have video but if i can get a video in the next few weeks when i hed down to bradenton i do have videos of the about 400yr burout i did on my old tires thats a pretty good video and a few idle walk arounds that u can listen to the big choppy cams it has and the whipple winding up a few times

there is another guy in baltimore or somewhere that has a 05 whipple expo bad dog performance or big dog performance some shit the guy is a jerk (i calld him to ask a question and he said this is a one and only car u couldnt build this truck if u wanted to..... right...) but it is a nice truck and claims to make 600 rwhp id love to race him :)

Yeah... my expedition gets a lot of attention at the track also. These beast are just not supposed to be that fast. That and most are not crazy enough to drag race them. Now I know I am not the only one. :) lol.

I know who your are talking about with the 05 whipple expy. Seen his videos. I emailed him and asked him had he run it recently because was sure it would be low 12's to high 11's with 600 rwhp. He has not but plans too.

Your flying for the hp you are putting out but the parts listed in your signature do seem to be optimized for drag racing. I assume its 2wd?! Did you do any weight reduction? I saw you have a high stall converter..but what gear ratio? With those cams whats your shift point.. 6,200 or better??

Hmmm.. think I would have fun chatting with you..lol. Have all kind of questions but will limit them for now.

2.3 Whipple is on my wish list! Pretty well maxing out my eaton. I am looking at converters now as I broke my tranny and will have it out next week. I need a low enough stall that it will maintain its street manors though..and tow.

4.56 Gears in the rear , truck is 2 wheel drive , removed spare tire , stock exhaust is replaced with long tubes offroad y pipe and single chamber muffler with turndown (lost about 100lbs thr, Running boards and roof rack removed truck weighs in with me in it at 4940 lbs which is about the same as a lightning ,i run it on very agressive tune on 110oct at the track much diff than i run it on street it runs 606 on 93 closer to 650 on tune and 110, the truck shifts at 7,000 at the track making top hp at 6,800, this baby likes to turn lol scares me everytime i dnt wanna see all tht money shoot threw my hood lol I also have a progressive nitrous ZEX wet system (that i have never sparayed to afraid lol but i will soon) and CO2 Cyro sprayer tht sprays my intercooler with Co2 few sec before and during the run that is filled with glycol and i can get intake air temps down around 70 on a pass. The key to keeping this motor wound up with out blowing up is keep the temp down atleast thts wat i think

No contest! With his whipple, stage 3 cams, lighter expy I dont stand a chance. My motor is built to handle it but I do not currently have the hardware to make the hp. I will be thrilled when I just break into the 11's and thats a long way off right now unless I use nitrous.

This past week with breaking my tranny has really got me reconsidering my priorities. I really can't afford to keep throwing money at it and its easy to get carried away in this game. Its really not fair to my family.. As much as I enjoy it I think I need to take a step back, re-evaluate and keep it at a reasonable tune for long term reliability and enjoy the level it is at.

But I am very impulsive :facepalm:..see how long this last.
