Bolts on my 5.4

Bolts on my 5.4 will I have to buy new bolts or can I use the ones out of the plasric intakemanafold . I wold also like some help with rhe alternator bracket I was misinformed by the Ford Dealer they told me a mustange supercharger alernator bracket would fit the 5.4 that thing was not cheap . Know I am stuck with something I dont need . See I am planning to install a Eaton112 on,my 5.4 the motor only has 31,000 miles on it . So any infomation would be help full. Thanks for your im pout .

daoud, look on the end of the bolts that the intake has and see if they are blank, have "8.8" on them or "10.8". If they are the 8.8 or 10.8 bolts, then I would say you can get away with them. If they are just generic bolts, I would upgrade them to something stronger (like the 8.8 or 10.8 bolts).

keep in mind that the intake is going to possibly be lifting up on the intake with the force of about 8 psi. While this is a small pressure, you have probably about 40 square inches of surface area for the 8 intake runners. 40 square inches times 8 psi amounts to roughly 300 pounds of upward force trying to push the intake off of the motor. Not sure about you, but I would want a little bit of assurance that the bolts are not going to fail on me. This is not taking into account any additional stresses of say the blower attempting to be twisted off of the motor due to it running, thermal stresses from different metals expanding at different rates, etc. Hence why i am recommending a hardened bolt for the intake.
