O.K. here are some pictures of the air intake mod...I was going to buy a new section of hose, but I might not need to once I cut this and splice the electric fan into this and then finish off the top...Oh and by the way I backed out one of the screws from the front vent and was able to use it to secure one corner of the air box, plus the steel bracket on the back... don't get me wrong here fella's its a good fit, but going to use some silicone to make sure all the air comes into the box..but for something from my head to plucked off of a Jeep Cherokee in the junk yard...so far my total cost is 18.00 including the front vents...the steel I had laying in the garage. BTW...There is a steel lip you will see in the pics that I had to bend up a small section in order to snug this all the way up...just used a crescent wrench and a little muscle...still have some more to do and will send pictures when done. Thoughts ???????

its a cool mod Steve i do see one problem tho, water, even a small flooded road can pile the water in front of the bumper and hydro lock will happen.

Oh I agree...its a common sense mod..no doubt...but if the water gets to that point its above the door seals and the truck wont be worth much anyways...very valid point though...

i was thinking that. but if its that high then just drill some holes in the intake where the filter goes. that should stop a big pool of water.
