Sorry for reviving a nearly three year old thread, but this looks to be the big thread for catch cans on 3rd gens.
I installed a JLT can on my 15 limited back in October just prior to a trip from Tucson to Anaheim by way of San Diego. The day before I had also drilled a weep hole that bled about 3-5 tablespoons of oil out, but not sludgey.
Last week I was changing my oil (just hit 100k) and decided to empty the can. I was shocked that in about 6 weeks it was almost full. I measured ~70mL. Again what was collected looked like straight oil. Not sludgey at all.
Is that normal? Should I be checking it monthly?
