Has anybody moved to a tire narrower than the stock 265 mm?

Just bought it and has worn out 265 mm tires, but I am seeing good buys on all terrain 245 mm take offs.

Diameter for 265/70R17 is close to 245/75R17.

New tire is 20 mm narrower (3/4 in), but tread technology today is much better than 2004. I see 245 mm being used on 2018 F-150.

I don't drive like NASCAR and I slow down when it's wet. I am 75% highway and 25% light off road. No mud and some winters we don't get any snow.

Any input would be helpful. Thanks.

Its 20mm narrower. My wife's trailblazer uses that size...

If you go with a 245/75 vs the factory 265/70 your tires will be .21" shorter, which means around 7" shorter in circumference. Your Speedo will be reading higher than your actual speed.
