still looking into it.... most say a vaccum leak somewhere... and spray with ether to see if RPMs jump.... also have seen some say COPs going bad but that confuses me a little... when was your last tune-up i.e. plugs/cops

well if it is the elbow... mine was replaced by a HD air hose and 2 hose clamps... going on 1.5 years... less than a buck and mine was fixed... but I would really check that whole vacuum set up to check for leaks... usually its the elbow...
remove that valve in the back. and replace it. its a $10 part. simple enough. and if you break the hard line just get a piece of rubber hose that can attach to it and youll be fine there too. ask me how i know that one. once i fixed my elbow no problems. also get a new pcv valve that goes into the crank case cover. another $10 part. i replaced that and the elbow and fixed my broken hard line for about $20. that area thats in red is where the pcv valve goes. follow the hard line to the crank case cover and you cant really miss it. it should just come right out, kinda. might need a little strength and it should just come right up.
dont do while its hot you ding ****. you never work on an engine when its hot. let it cool down for a few hours and then do it.
just pull the elbow off. thatll tell you if theres a leak or not. then when its fixed your engine will runn a lot better. thats how you know its fixed.
