I would say that you have the injectors properly seated or else you would be leaking fuel Hope you get it all figured out and if you need any more prints just ask Am headed out for a few hours

They are sealed and getting fuel to both rails. Through my torque app I can read mis-fires from the coils and I'm getting zeros from all cylinders. But when I un-plug the injector connectors on cylinders 5,6 and 8. Nothing changes in the way the engine runs. I'm going to start it and listen to the injectors to see if they are functioning. Then do an ohm test on the injector and connector. After that its checking grounds and connections.

It isn't by chance flooded in some cylinders is it? I don't think intake cleaner would cause an issue since it doesn't pass through the injector itself. My guess is that there is either dirt that fell into some of the fuel injector connectors, too much fuel in the cylinders, or the injectors somehow are plugged in the wrong order. That last one would be tough to do though.

You know, I thought about that, so I double checked all my connections. To make sure none of the injectors are plugged into the wrong plug. The way these come out of the wiring loom they are plugged in properly. So I had the engine running and un-plugged then re-plugged the injectors in. Nothing changed in the RPM's or sound of the motor running except for cylinder #7. I blew out all the intake runners with compressed air until nothing else came out before re-assembly. I left the injector rails in the truck since I dont have a dis-connector for the lines and plugged the injectors back in after re-installing the intake. So it would be hard for debris to get push up into the injector connectors when I re-assembled it. Its like the electrical is dead to these cylinders or the injectors broke when I pulled them out and put them back in.

I checked the resistance on the injectors and the injectors came back with a value. Is there a way to check the harness?

more prints

you may want to disconnect connector C120 or C174 and check for continuity to the injector connectors

So I went through all the injectors. Everything checked out. I started the engine and listened to each one. They are all operating. Now I'm concerned. I'm going to pull the spark plugs and check each one over. If I dont like what I see I'm doing a compression check. I'm concerned that somehow the valves are messed up. But I dont want to jump to conclusions. This could be that somehow the spark plugs were gummed up or something. But I know at least two cylinders are not firing and possibly a third is not. So I'm going to cross all my "t's" and dot all my "I's". I'm really hoping this is something simple I overlooked.

hope its something simple being its a 4.6 and has the two coil packs which does fire two cyl. at the same time you may want to check that out.

Before the intake gasket replacement I had just replaced both coil packs. Its not un-heard of to get bad parts. But I want to check some other items to tell me what might be happening.

Checked all the spark plugs last night and everything looked good. I took it for a drive to try and get a feel for the problem. It was a dog and did not perform well. Feels like two cylinders are not firing. So my plan is to do a compression test. Then buy new plugs and wires for a tune up. Maybe when I checked all the spark plug wires I got two mixed up. So I'm going to pull all of them off and go by the book to put it back together.

Nothing new to report. I have to get an extension for my compression tester. Then I can get the compression checked and hopefully move forward.

Odd thing happened today. I went to move the truck and it ran great! We just had a rain storm pass over. I'm thinking its plugs and wires time. It warmed up and started running worse. also its low on gas. Something I failed to mention. Sorry guys. With it warmed up I added a couple more gallons from a gas can and it ran a little better. So the plan is a tune-up and get gas. Then go from there.

Did a tune up and replaced wires and plugs last night. Ran like crap coming out of the carport. Drove it to work today so I could get some gas in it. Started it this morning and it purred like a kitten. Drove it to the gas station and it has a bit of a miss at idle when its warmed up. Then on my way to work it threw a CEL and would flash the check engine light when I was driving. At a stop and idling it would have a solid check engine light with no flashing. As soon as I accelerated it would start flashing the check engine light. I have a bluetooth scan tool and the torque app. But this morning it seems either my bluetooth adapter is bad or the fuse for the data port is blown. I'm going to check fuses and go from there so I can read the code.

Thanks Bedrck. Found it in the service manual. Replaced it at lunch. Read the codes and I have a p0308 Cyl#8 misfire. I also had a oxygen sensor fault code. But I dont remember which one. This points me in a direction. Now, to fix this problem. Here are the codes.

P0308 - cylinder #8 misfire.
P0133 - O2 sensor slow response bank 1 sensor 1
P0174 - system lean bank #2
