crankshaft pulley backwards

so just got me a 98 expy EB 4x2 4.6L 131k the dummy who i bought it from put the crankshaft pulley on backwards and now the timing chain cover is leaking and of course the belt is done. what type of price am i looking at here? degree of difficulty? i took it to the ford dealership to get it inspected so i would know what i had to do to get her a 100% and they want to charge me like 2600, with that being said i plan on doing the work myself. i work on a lot of diesel engines so i know a few things.

Check rock auto for parts cost, if the cover is damaged it may be better to try a junk yard. Since it has been hosed I would plan on changing the timing chains. You will need the cam holding tool, I bought two to hold both cams. The most difficult part was keeping the valve cover gaskets in place. Both rolled and leaked in the back, ended up gluing them in place.
