Either I'm an idiot or I'm looking at this all wrong. 2004 expy, 5.4L, 4WD. My old tube broke at the mount flange, seems to be a common occurrence, after a couple doses of sea foam deep creep I got the lower part out with ease. Now the problem, and hoping y'all have a solid, semi easy, solution for me, how in the actual hell do you get the tube in place without pulling the, apparently impossible to do without some wizardry, exhaust manifold?!!?

Just have to twist it as you shove it between the block and manifold from the top. It may help if you have a buddy also pull at it from below and guide it in the hole. It's Ok to bend the tube a little till it's the right shape too. I do it with the dip stick removed from the tube too. Get a bright light in there so you can see it good too. Put a little oil on the O-ring seal to help it slide in the hole too. Tap it with a mallet to drive it in to the proper depth so the support bolt lines up with the hole on the head too.

Got it.....surprisingly, once I got it through the manifold it slid into the block with little effort from my helper....
