I had the SES light on for a bit cause it said the e vap system had a small leak and I found this when looking under the exp. The one side goes to the carbon canister and the other is ziped tied up here but where is it supposed to go
I know nothing about the evap system, so this is a shot in the dark. Is it an air outlet/inlet? Sometimes there are open hoses that allow pressure to equalize within a system.
If you can locate the canister, check it to see if it's full of water. My brother's sportrac had this error and that's what it turned out to be. It's an issue that usually happens when you get to 150k+ miles.
