Excess weight on them over time. Or gunked up inside the brackets, or you need a new motor for it.Both sides have a 1" gap full length on both sides when up. They are very clean, well lubed, hinges fold flat, but come to a hard stop an inch from the top View attachment 37595 View attachment 37596 View attachment 37597 and pushing on them does nothing.
Again; very clean and well lubed. Motors work great on both sides, and I doubt if all 4 hinges had too much weight. Basically..........that's not it.Excess weight on them over time. Or gunked up inside the brackets, or you need a new motor for it.
Thanks but I saw that a while back but he doesn't have the same problem. He is mainly touting his messy chain lube also. The boards work very well but there is a gap. So far nobody knows why.See if this video helps.....
You can’t guarantee the insides are clean or that the motor gearing isn’t shot. I’m thinking it’s got something to do with the mechanism that closes them, especially if it’s equal on all sides.Again; very clean and well lubed. None of that under there looks clean whatsoever. Need your prescriptions checked little guyBoth sides have a 1" gap full length on both sides when up. Like @jkayca just stated. There’s your problem. The hinges are jacked up really bad. Here are mine and I have a flush gap all the around my truck. This is your issue. Compare it to my gap between hinge and frame rail. You are rubbing yours badBoth sides have a 1" gap full length on both sides when up. It works very smoothlyYou can’t guarantee the insides are clean or that the motor gearing isn’t shot. I’m thinking it’s got something to do with the mechanism that closes them, especially if it’s equal on all sides.
I doubt if any of it is shot, it works quite well except for the gap. Are you thinking both sides are off a tooth? You can’t guarantee the insides are clean or that the motor gearing isn’t shot. It's immaculate little one. I used engine cleaner and pressure washed the hinges 3 times in the last 6 months and lubed them. Plus it was done an hour before these pictures which is why there is water dripping still. Do you just like to nit-pik little one?None of that under there looks clean whatsoever. No just like being an ass to an ass. Your hinges are either bent or have moved from original position. They should be 3” or so off the frame rails. Over time I bet they have moved and are now causing your gap. Instead of running your mouth on here why don’t you go under there and look and compare my pic to yours and you’ll see the difference clearlyIt's immaculate little one. Guess it’s normal then. Yeah we fixed your issue! If it’s all equally gapped it’s probably normal since you don’t think it’s any of the above things we’ve stated. Oh yeah, there’s this thing called a dealership. Take it there and pay the diagnostic fee. I’m sure they will tel you what’s wrong with it lolGrouchy one; You are seeing dirt and the hinge hitting but it's a photo. The front one clears the frame by 7" and the rear one clears by 1". More pics..............

It has been like that since I bought it 6 months ago......not against the frame, it's all solid and works smoothly. Is the behavior new? From the pics, it looks like the hinge is bumped right up against the frame.
Apparently it’s not working smoothly if it’s got a gap big enough to stick your hand inIt has been like that since I bought it 6 months ago......not against the frame, it's all solid and works smoothly.
Come on Bobby, it works smoothly but the is a gap, read the first post.Apparently it’s not working smoothly if it’s got a gap big enough to stick your hand in
If there’s a gap, it’s faulty. As there is not supposed to be a gap. Something is wrongCome on Bobby, it works smoothly but the is a gap, read the first post.
