Other thought: I use 10w30 grpIII syn year round, Chevron/Havoline ProDS. I live in Central Texas, so I wouldn't recommend this regimen for everyone. But the engine seems to like it fine. I did try 10w40HM at one time but it felt sluggish on that.
With the recommended 5w20 it ran rough at idle after a long freeway run, I'm sure due to the tensioner seals being blown out. I don't have this issue with the 10w30, and it's even quieter on cold starts, probably because the 10w30 does not bleed out of the tensioners as fast.
