Hey, so I am new to the forum but, not new to Expedition ownership. Now that my truck is 8 years old it needs a little aesthetic help. I recently replaced the headlights, taillights, mirrors, fog lights, and replaced most of the halogen bulbs with leds. Now it is time to tackle the nasty window sills and trim. Does anyone know where I can purchase these, other than a dealer maybe?

I was wondering the same about the rubber trim. I have a few places where mine is a little torn. Be it from kids or just wear and tear.

Mine is an `07. I like those headlights, look factory. I've also replaced all my interior bulbs and puddle lights (mirrors) with LEDs. Nice upgrade.

Yeah, I removed the metal trim in the sill because it looked so terrible. I live in Texas so it gets pretty hot in the summer. And thanks, I just finished replacing the interior lights with LEDs and it is much better than the hot halogens. My turn signals, brake lights, and reverse lights have all been replaced with LED bulbs. Aswell. It looks so much better. I've still got to replace the wiper cowl and rims because they look like crap. But the window sills are really holding it back and I need to find a way to fix/ replace it.

I had mine for about a year now, bought if of my parents. Been upgrading, fixing little things as I go. I also recently added WeatherTech floormats front, 2nd row which helps with the kids baseball and cleats! Tinted the whole thing as the factory tint is really just smoked glass and offers no real protection from UV or heat. Made a huge difference and my A/C is able to keep up now.

I have a few other little things, but its a process...

Thanks!

Yep, same here. Except we've had ours since it was new back in '08. Now, I just began upgrading and replacing little things here and there. All in the name of improvement! It is a process, and a redeeming (and expensive) process...

Sorry for the late reply.

I am also missing a piece of one of them. And they look terrible. If I could find where to purchase them, I will.

Y not go by the dealer and ask the parts rep for the part numbers. Then take those part numbers and cross reference them and find exactly what you're looking for.

I've already done that. Part number is 21452. Only available through Ford it seems...

8L-1Z78-21452-AA is front passenger side door

8L-1Z78-21453-AA is front driver side door with keyless entry keypad, 7L1Z7821453BA is the same part without keypad

Not a common replacement part (like bumpers, fenders, lights), so no aftermarket.

Considering the list prices, you might try a body shop to refinish what items you do have rather than replace.

Would it really be cheaper though? I just was able to find them on Ebay for less than they cost through Ford. I was finally able to decipher what the actual part was called: "Door Belt Weatherstrip"

I doubt that getting them refinished from a body shop would cost less then the $900 that it costs to buy them through Ford Direct. I may be wrong but, I also use my truck on a daily basis so that would be too much downtime for an "issue" that is not vital to the function of the vehicle...
