Wrapped up day 1 of timing job with struggling against this fan shroud. the fan is off, but can't lift out cause the shroud is not out and FordTech's video shows a much simpler shroud situation.

has anyone dealt with getting the shroud out on a 08 limited, I couldn't even find the drain valve for radiator so yanking the big coolant hose up top isn't an option yet; and i'd like to do the timing job with shroud out if I can.

2010 and up is def a bit easier they cleaned up the excessive amount of wiring everywhere and the electric fan made the job way smoother. Start to finish took me about 2 or 3 days I'd say that's with changing the oil pump pickup tube bolt was a nightmare

Yeah I had the airbox off once on my 2010 Navi to change the serpentine belt and I was pleased at the amount of space with the air intake off. Was really glad for the electric fans.

You only need to take the bottom half off, super easy clips and swings
