Hi all. I know there are other threads about this but I need some input. I have a 98 XLT with 103,000 miles. The day I got it I had the front tires balanced due to a vibration, this seemed to have fixed the problem. A couple weeks later I had the rotors turned cause the dealer did not do it when they changed the pads. Ever since the rotors were turned it has this bad vibration that I do not remember being there. It only happens between 60 and 70, once you hit about 75 it's gone. Has 4 new monroe sensatrac shocks, 3 of the tires are pathfinder tail a/p and one is path finder sport suv and all are fairly new. Took it to discount tire this past weekend and told them seems like vibration is coming front pass. side where the sport suv tire was. They balanced all four wheels but supposedly only rotated the pass. side to get the sport tire off the front since it was the newest and had a different tread pattern. Now the vibration seem worse and now seems like it is coming from the drivers side. I am taking it back tomorrow to get them to check the driver front tire but wanted to see if anyone else might have any ideas at all. I am thinking maybe they did not do something right when they put the rotors back on.

I had this same sympton once at the same speeds as you and it ended up being my brake pads. Even though the pads were not worn down they somehow got a little warped so i took them back to autozone and got 2 new sets for free.

sorry it has taken so long to get back to this thread. Were you having the vibration when driving or only when getting on the brakes? My pads were put on the day before I bought the Ex. It went back in for a shimmy when braking and that is when the rotors were turned. From what I can remember the vibration has only been there since the rotors were turned and was notciable as soon as I picked it up from the shop. On another note I had back to the ire shop the other day to have the drivers side front checked since it seemed like that is where it was coming from. They checked the wheel and it is warped some so they moved it to the back. This did not help at all. I am really wonderif it is not the brake pads since I also have a slight pull to the right but i did not think the pads would affect it unless i was getting on them. it does during normal driving.
