Just took delivery on 2022 expedition limited. When we park the car we don’t hear any front sensors, cameras, or anything guiding the front as we pull in.

Is there a setting I'm missing? Or something I need to do to activate the front parking sensors?

Did you review the vehicle owner’s manual?

You may need to check your settings.

I have exactly the same question. Shouldn't the sensors alert?

Yeah Im having trouble sorting it out so hopefully someone that knows can chime in. The manual says “if equipped”. I believe the Limited trim should have it, but with all of the recent production deletes it’s hard to be certain. So I'm not sure if I’m missing a setting or maybe my car doesn’t have it? I’m also starting to wonder if maybe I just haven’t been close enough to something to activate them.

There is a parking sensor disable button in the center console that may be set to off. Sometimes its not that noticeable. Just throwing out ideas.

What button are you referring to exactly? I have the 15” screen to be clear.

I just picked up mine last Wednesday, it had the same issue. Even the sales guy could not get it to activate. He took it into service and they had it a couple of hours, they had to do a reset on it. Works fine now.

The front camera doesn’t activate automatically. And the front sensors only activate within 3-4ft of an object, which is much closer than most people think.
As for “activating”, yes manual as others have posted. The answer is click the top left expedition icon while in drive and stopped, then click camera 1/3 of the way down the screen on the left. It will turn on the front camera. Sensors will also automatically turn it on if it detects an object as mentioned. FYI, curbs are not objects, have to be over 9” off the ground.

Super helpful information. Thank you so much!

I was thinking the same until I checked the front bumper... It did not come with front sensor... Only rear bumper has it. Look for dime size sensors in the front.

You should have it on your limited. Ours does. But what rd618 said is right, you have to get used to getting closer to objects than you think for it to come on. Once I got used to that it wasn’t a big deal anymore and comes on plenty early enough for me.

Limited trim doesn't come with front sensor? I thought it's a default for limited and above. XLT 202A with special edition option has front sensors as well, according to Ford website.

Do you have the sensors on the front bumper, 4 IIRC, 2 next to the license plate & 2 further outboard? That would be the first indication.
The front park sensor button is between the shifter knob & the center console on our 2018 Max 300A Limited.

We have to get fairly close for it to start alerting. Much closer than the rear sensors.
