Gott trouble...............

I got everything for the Gotts modification together, took my intake apart and everything was going great until I tried to put that 3"x3" rubber union on the box. I cant get it on. My air box is 3 1/2" I've got the 3" exhaust tubing to go through the fender still using the original gasket, but I cant figure out how to get the union to fit onto the intake filter box............

Mine was like that two....just sprayed a little WD-40 on the rubber and it slipped right on..its tight, but it will work...
