A while back I saw a thread about upgrading to LED lights. I can’t seem to find the post so.

I have a 04 XLT
what’s everyone running for led headlights? Pros and cons to yours?

I just ordered new Headlight housings and fog lights and would like to get some brighter light as well.

I think they were JDM Astar.
Would I need the decoders also?

My old 2003 I got Beamtech 9006's for the low beams, and for my 2003 Excursion I have in Beamtech 9007's... they are AMAZING! I also got fogs for both of them to match. I used 6500k and they look very bright and white! I am including a link to the 9006s. I didnt need decoders or anything. They are plug and play. ** when installing turn on your headlamp before putting the lenses back in, if they dont work turn the connector 180°, dont forget to orientate the LEDs as instructed too.

I’ll take a look at those. How long have you had them? When I put LED’s in wife’s Cadillac one burned out in less than a year. (Company replaced it under warranty without issue)

When I had my Expedition I had them for about 1.5 years before I sold it, now I have them in my Excursion(a different bulb) and have had them in for about 6 months. I couldn't be happier with them. Also have them in my wife's Trailblazer EXT, for around 2 years and she has daytime running lights so they are always on and still work perfect.

One thing I didnt do was install the rear rubber covers over the bulbs so they have plenty of heat distribution, I put them away in my toolbox.
