With all the crazy people driving on the road these days, I feel safer driving with my headlights on all the time. I could have put duct tape over the light senser and keep the switch on auto. I didn't like the idea of tape on the dash, so I made a plastic mold of the senser, and came up with a little plastic hood to cover the senser. I wanted to still see the red blinking light so I made a cut out of the hood to let the red light shine. Here are some picturesto show you what I did. This is for a 2003 Expedition or what other years that use the same light senser.

thats a cool idea. i dont blame you for doing that. my moms 4runner has a thing where she can turn her lights and fog lights on and theyll turn off automatically after a few mins. i dont even both turning my lights on in the day unless im in the mountains. but here its the law. theres a part of the freeway on the way to the desert where if they see your lights arnt on youll get a nice ticket! but i see it as if you dont see me and i take out our car with my bumper well i want to make my own anyways. make my insurance pay for materials rather then a new bumper. itll be cheaper for them anyways.
