Almost 306,000 here on the 1998 4WD, and the wife is the original owner. Minor issues here and there related to bad Ford engineering on the front end. LOL But this thang is a beast on a sandy beach.

Have a “used oil smell” starting to happen more…
Need to figure that out.

Still at 210k on my '11 due to a bad back injury. I drove it less than 4k this year. My usual is ~20k.

309,800 on my 99. Having a new transmission this week after 24 years. Looking forward to the new ride. Like others, don't want to spend $70k on a new one.

310,500....everyone says I'm nuts but won't spend $70K-$80K for a new one. Have done a lot of work but if I add it all up I'm still way ahead of the game. Have a love affair with this girl.

The odometer does not work. It stopped at 276k. I would guesstimate we're at 300k+. I have minor valve cover gasket seepage, left side hea gasket oil leak to the exterior of the block, rear main leak, and pan leakage. I believe with all of that, it's the only reason I need to add oil periodically. I don't believe it's burning much of any.

It starts and runs every day. It has had the dreaded exhaust leak since before I bought it. As such, it seems I may have some valves burning up as I've noticed a distinct drop in power (compression?) lately.

I'm considering looking for P.I. head and intake to clean this thing up and restore some life to her.

Took it up a few mountains in Colorado this year. Wife is kind of wanting a new daily, so this might soon officially become the toy.

2003 expedition 5.4 everything and I mean everything worked perfectly except the Frame rusted out causing the crossmember in the rear holding the lower control arms. The frame had holes in many spots. It failed with nothing to weld to at rear cross member. One wheel cambered in big time the other cambered out. Drove another 500 miles till half shaft boot shredded and Frame was hitting cv joint. Got $600 for scrap but the truck still looked good. Got a new 2007 expedition with 157k hope to get another 200k out of it. pic 2003 going to the crusher 20240208_131601.jpg

Over 500k, 97 Eddie Bauer Expedition. Bought it used in 2000, still have it even though I bought a 2019 Max in Oct 2023.
Replaced the transmission at 320k. No issues with the engine

300k+
Odometer has been stuck at 276k since before we got it.

She's taken is to Colorado a couple times (including last weekend), Missouri, Kentucky, Oklahoma, and more.

Replaced the manifolds with ebay headers and did a complete top end reseal (including head gaskets) in May 2024.

Still going.
