I currently have some Maxxis 751 285/75/16 that are about wore out that came with the rig and I need to look for more.

I dont do any real off road driving other than maybe across a field here and there for hunting.

I do use dirt roads often

I drive in snow

I dont care about road noise or even ride that much, drove truck long enough that most things are like a Caddy compared to them

Want millions of miles out of them

Want them CHEAP

And I do not want that tall of a tire, damn nose bleeders

Any suggestions???

A tire that lasts a long time will not give good traction.

You want a tire that's good? (traction), Lasts? and is Cheap?

Sure - but you can pick only TWO of those options.

My ex has Terrain-something anothers from BFG - they are more highway than the BFG A/T's - and except in snow they work okay.

For snow? Nothing will work as well as dedicated winter tires. Nothing.

Cheap is all relative too. I bought my cooper for about 225 a tire, and I didn't think that was a bad price. And I do A LOT of snow driving. I would definitely buy them again

Look into Nexen Tires. I have the AT2 on mine and love it. Last winter was rough for us with a few feet of snow drifting to 4 feet in places. I made it in and out of places I wasn't to sure about. Nexen came out with some new tires that look great and I just put a set on my brothers 2500 gmc. He got the AT RA8. Look great and should last a long time. Best part about Nexen tires is the price and quality. We have installed them for 5 years or so and have not had a single issue with them.

Tread Depot has fantastic prices and unlike Tire Rack they'll ship direct to your house. They have great customer reviews and their own road test. I just got tires at the end of May. I got Toyo Open Country and drive 54 miles a day over highway and side street's. They're very quiet and had really great ratings and reviews.

I was very happy with the Pro Comps All Terrains that I ran on my Scout.

I've also always had good luck with BFG ATs

Has anybody tried retreads? I've heard good things about those tires.

I had a set of them on my Trooper, great tires and retreads have come a long way. The company that seems to be getting it right on passenger applications is TreadWright. They even have a full bead to bead retread.

Read up on them, they're doing very well!!

Tire Details - Discount Tire Direct

Here is what I ended up ordering. I spent a week literally several hours a day researching, asking questions and in the end I felt these offered the best value for my money for what I use my Expedition for. I got them in a 265/75/16 a bit smaller than the 285/75/16 Maxxis Bravo 751 that is on it at the moment. Now to wait for UPS to get here with them and go get them put on.

Never done it before but figured I would document them on youtube as the get used and such
