info, reset, setup, anti-skid, flasher buttons on the center dash not working.

when you press any of the above buttons on the center console nothing happens.

I unhooked the battery for about 10 minutes to try to reset the system. While the battery was disconnected, I looked for fuses that might have an affect, but looking at fuse 26 and 29 in the passenger kick panel (instrument cluster fuses) showed them to be good. I did not come across others that looked relevant, but there could be others that I missed. Any others that I might check?

I found this issue thread on the instrument cluster that sounds a little similar, but not exactly. My hope is that this is not the cluster.

After hooking the battery back up the issue was still there. However, the moment I hooked the battery back in circuit the alarm went off. This has been a recurring issue for me with the alarm going off. Never for my wife, but for me. Maybe we should swap keys and see if the issue follows the key set.

I do not know if the alarm issue might be a part of the cause or a completely different, unrelated issue. This thread details something similar:

Any hints or leads would be appreciated.

Agreed that they can look fine and still be bad. I checked the fuses for continuity with a DMM.

Learned that long ago from the severe reaming I got as a young airman from a CMS after we spent too long out in the cold trying to troubleshoot an F-4. After we had been over the possibilities and all over the wiring, he looked at all 19 years of me and said "you checked the fuse, right?" and I said with all the certainty I could that "yes, I took it out, checked it and it *looked* fine..."

I paid for that with working a lot of weekends and nights and getting a lot of crappy duty for a while.

posted a response on the other forum. Hope it helps.

This turns out to have been the issue. There are 2 connectors on the back side of the buttons. The connections on the back of the panel had been left unconnected. My wife had someone look at the stereo since it wasn't working properly and they did not hook these back in. It was a surprise to me that the stereo wasn't working and an even bigger surprise to see these unconnected.

Thank you for the video tip, Monte. Took 3 minutes...

No problem. With all of them being out my guess was easy.
