i just installed a new air suspension bag on my reap passenger side, the compressor kicks on but the new bag does not inflate, what did i do wrong here.

i have a 98 expedition EB 5.4. my old bag was toast so i bought 2 new ones, drivers side is still good, so i only replaced the rear passenger side. the o nly thing i think i may have messed up on is. the airspring piston clip. on the directions it said to clip it to the axle, however the new bag came with the clip already clipped to the bottom of the piston, so i didn't remove it to clamp it to the axle, will this keep the bag from inflating? i'm so confused

got any pics? I have a 97 so it should be the same. You replaced the bag and didn't have to connect the hose to it? I'm confused on that. The solenoid your talking about, is that the ride height sensor ?

no the ride height sensor is on the drivers side rear, the bag it self has a solonoid that connects to it, i have the arnott instructions but they are pdf and i cant attatch because it's too big of a file, i will double check when i get off work to see if there is a hose to connect, but all i took off the old bag was the solonoid which has a electric wire attached to it, i will also take pics when i get home, if it's not too late. i appreciate the help.

ok I looked up the manual, To take the solenoid out you had to turn it counter clockwise. So I assume you replaced it turning it all the way clockwise? Also returning the retainer clip and air hose clip. I would take out the solenoid and verify air is present. If not then first guess would be bad solenoid. Next would be hole in hose somewhere.

a bad solonoid makes sense. i will double check it, and hopefully that can fix the problem.

I would also ensure that the o-rings are intact and properly oiled. I also purchased the Arnott compressor/dryer and rear bags several years ago. I did have to call them on the compressor/dryer as the directions were a bit "unclear", however they were very fast to articulate back in "DIY" wrenching.

Hope you figure it out.

PanHandler.

Update!

So i went ahead and lifted the expy again and started inspecting everything, everything looked just like it should so i decided to check the wires carrying the power and low and behold it looked as if it were chopped off. i i bought some wire and re connected the ends, and it aired right up.
Thank you all for your help and input on this, it was all very appreciated.
