Hi,
New guy here. Just replaced my '99 Expy with an '05. 'Like everything about it right off the bat accept for one thing. IMHO, a really ugly instrument cluster.
Looking at eBay, I see that '04 clusters are widely available. Being from the same 2nd generation and having what looks like the same physical outside shape and mounting points, can these be plug and play? Does anyone feel as I do and tried the swap? I realize there might be issues with keyless remote programing and the information center, but can it be made to work with little scratch?

Thanks,
Stephen

I don't know but with all the electronics, I would think not. Imo, I like the cluster of my 05 better than the ones in the 03 and 04.

Honestly you would probably be much better off just changing the color of the panel

Like my OP. If it were plug and play, with no dealer rip off to reprogram the remotes,
and if my truck's mileage, which is low @ 48K, could be set, I would like it.
It also would need to have the information center, which mine does. Otherwise,
I'm trying to learn to live with it. If you like the looks of the '05 cluster, that's great.
If you know everything will fit, you're welcome to PM me.
Thanks
