According to the 2020 Order Guide they did make the following change to the XLT's.
-Ambient Lighting is not available on XLT 202A
It doesn't mention anything about removing colors choices tho.

Yep, It has been confirmed. I have the ambient lighting, but only one color. Ice Blue. You have to swap the LED's to get the Color back.
Funny thing. My 2020 Explorer ST has the Color Choices. Just Weird!

Most manufacturers require higher trim levels to get color options... Color is only available in the highest trim level on Audis. I got the middle package so all I get is white.
Yea but the color option on expys was available on the 18s and 19s on ltds and plattys. I liked bein able to change the colors on my 18 and it was helpful on long drives. The 18 nav i tested was a select and also had color options.

Yeah, Our 17 had the Color. They pulled this crap in the 18 F150’s too. It annoys me. Maybe I will
Swap out at some point. We will see!

Dude, Really? Limitation implies ford is holding it back based on software. They actually changed the hardware.
Ford decontented the lower models. Color is only available in the Platinum in 2020. The ST IS the top model in the Explorer line, and the Color is included as part of the Tech Package.

Actually ticked me off! Dealer is doing a full detail on the Expy because I mentioned it to the sales manager(I know him). He said he should have told me knowing our 17 had it.

JLT sitting in the Garage, ready to go in! Pulled off the 17, Vince from JLT sent me the battery tray kit, to adapt to the 20. Already test fitted it, and installed new hoses on can. Need the wife to have a day off when it isn’t FN raining, and Incan install it!
