So just installed a Kenwood DNX 7190HD in my 2011 Limited Max and I went for the Idatalink Maestro to be able to keep my Sync. But I did not retain my factory Siries Radio for some reason so that sucks. Does anyone have much experience with this set up. I was wondering if I can get some of my vehicle information displayed on my Kenwood ? I have been playing with it but does not do much that I can see.

It was my understanding that starting in 2009 the factory radios had the Sirrius tuner built in and it was no longer a seperate piece, so if you yanked your factory radio that's why you don't have Sirrius anymore.

Also, what kind of "vehicle information" are you looking to have displayed on the Kenwood ?

My tire pressure, Battery info things like that. I just saw on there sight but cant find out were I would find this info on my deck. I dont see an option for this in the OEM menu.

iDatalink - Maestro - Maestro RR

Hi,

These features are only available on the 2013 Kenwood radios. Here are the applicable models: DNN990HD, DNN770HD, DNX890HD, DNX690HD, DNX570

The older radios do not have the screens built in to display this information. In addition, the 7190HD which you have connects Maestro into the Siruis radio port on the Kenwood so you will be unable to add the aftermarket SXV200 SiriusXM tuner (assuming you want to). The 2013 models plug in to dedicated ports on the Kenwood radio so you can also add the Sat Tuner if you want to.

Hope this helps.

Hmmm not sure how the head unit would have access to things like tire pressure. Ford doesnt have that show up anywhere unless it's low and even at that it's just a light on the dash. Are you sure these functions are available for Expeditions ? I could see maybe a vehicle with MyFord Touch but not an Expy ( yet ).
