Tried this, but these bulbs will only function correctly as reverse lights,

After doing more research looks like there are units with 2-colors of LEDs avail for tail light/turn signal/brake light use, but not 100% sure if these will work...

Thanks for your reply, I tried this, but these bulbs will only function as reverse lights...

After doing more research I noticed there are units avail with 2-colors of LED (amber/white) and am guessing these are designed for use as turn signal/brake/tail lights, but not 100% sure...

Also noticed that some vehicles require load resistors to use led turn signals, not sure if these will also be required with the 2-color LED lamps?

I replaced the tail and turn signals on my 2006 with these:

You'll have to replace the flasher relay (it's behind the glove box but easily reachable from below), or splice in resistors. Replacing the relay is much cleaner than splicing in resistors (which get hot).

I have had good luck with the CuteQueen lights, but they're inexpensive and probably not the brightest. They do look good, but based on the reviews it's very obvious the LED lights are mass produced in China so you're rolling the dice on quality control. If you have a little extra to spend, it's probably worth it to order nicer CREE LED bulbs for a higher price from CarID, dt-autotech (as mentioned by bedrck46 above), or some other site. I actually like this bulb style (with a focused lens on the end and some LED on the sides to spread out light a little bit), but haven't tried them yet.

The switchback lights are for vehicles that have both running lights and turn signals in the same lens. They normally shine white light for the running lights, and yellow when the turn signal is activated, and I don't think that applies to your expedition.

I got the 50W 3157 bulbs installed and holy crap they are bright. The brightness when I'm not stepping on the brakes is equal to my factory bulbs with the brakes applied. And now when I brake or signal, it's crazy bright.

I'm sure the folks sitting behind you at the stoplight will appreciate that... next you can probably hop out and shine a tac light in their face.... LOL
I think 50w should be reserved for reverse lights only... just hope it's not a cop behind you at the light.
