Dang, very tasteful! I too expected to see something extravagant but was pleasantly surprised! Usually you'll see these expy's lowered around here but with freakishly large wheels added as well and they look icky. Very nice job! I especially respect your decision to lower due to it being a tow rig as it should likely deliver added stability.

I have a 1998 without the air ride suspension and 4WD and been trying to figure out for a while how to go about dropping it a bit. Do you know if this will work or if there would be other mods needed as well?

I have been researching for a bit now trying to figure out part numbers for the drop spindles through belltech and cant seem to find them. Do you by chance have any part numbers handy for the spindles or drop shocks? I already know I can go with the 2 inch drop springs on the rear. Thanks!

I know this is an old thread but I just bought my Expedition which is a 2001 Eddie Bauer 2wd. I would like to lower mine 2 inches or maybe less. Any thoughts from guys that have done it?

your truck is 2wd. Super easy to lower it. I would get DJM front upper and lower control arms. Get rear bell tech lowering springs. If your interested. I can get you links.

Here’s a link to two options of kits to get but what I would do is just get the DJM control arms use the factory front springs with no isolators (the rubber rings that go on the springs and no it will not make noise when you drive) and use the 4” rear lowering springs

I love DJM products but their shocks suck so here is what I recommend for shocks

One more thing I forgot. You will need camber bolts here’s the link for them. When you install these. You want the bolts turned all the way out meaning the upper control arm will slide out towards you when you adjust them
