Makuloco 5.4 oil cap and decal

I just ordered these off Amazon. I was searching for a 5.4 5-30 cap and happened to remember there being a Mobil 1 only sticker for the corvette when I worked for GM. Bonus the reproduction sticker actually reads 5-30 also! Customer review states the cap does fit the 5.4, it’s a Motorcraft part. I’ll reply back for sure when the Amazon shipment arrives.

The decal hasn’t arrived yet. The 5W-30 oil cap came today. It does fit. It’s the exact same cap, just different lettering.

Yeah, it fits the 3V motors, they have the quarter turn lock tight. The 2V motors have complete threads and a click tight system. It won't work on the 2V motors.

The Mobil 1 emblem came today. I assumed it was vinyl but actually it’s a true reproduction of the original Corvette emblem. It looks to be aluminum coated black, raised lettering, with self adhesive strip on it. I wish it didn’t read “See Owners Manual for Oil Requirements”
I might black that out before I install it. I’ve got to clean the radiator shroud first. I found an acceptable spot. Wish I had the engine cover so the label would be right above the oil fill cap.

I’ve been back to the factory recommended 5W-20 after I did the new oil pump and tensioners. I did run 30 weight when i had rattles though. Then again I used the Ford oem oil pump again his judgement too...aluminum backer plate and all. Been running great rattle free since I did the work with the OEM stuff.
