So I can rebuild high performance motors, but I can't get my map lights to work. I tried searching, but couldn't find what I was looking for. The map lights above the rear view mirror don't come on when I push on them. They come on when the doors are opened, when I unlock it with the remote, and when I move the gauge dimmer switch all the way up. But if I press on it, it doesn't light up. I looked through the owners manual and didn't find anything. Am I missing something or is this how it's set up?

I did try that. It gives me manual control over them. But then the puddle lights stay on. I'll take it by a dealer and have them show me what's up.

Cobra, I had a similar issue with my new 2011. Check and see if your light in the glove box is working ?? How about Sun Visor mirror lights. All three of those are on one fuse.

If your glove box works as well as the visor lights, then yours would be different than mine.

If that circuit is out I may be able to help. Good Luck

I didn't know I had a glove box light. But I do know the visor lights aren't working.

I went out at lunch and looked through the manual. I found the fuse for the visor lamps and turns out the fuse is blown. I'll put a new one in after I get home tonight. Thank you.

They only stay on if I turn the lights on manually. If I don't turn them on manually then all the lights act normally. They turn off as soon as I press the lock button.

Replaced the fuse that svfetter mentioned and the lights work.

Sorry I did not get back to you sooner. I am really glad the fuse fixed it for you. I found my problem right away when I got mine home from the dealer and found the circuit and also found the fuse blown. My difference was when you put a new fuse in, it would immediately blow.

After troubleshooting as much as I could with no success. I finally decided to remove the visors from the inside ceiling to check for a bad wire of some sort. I did find wires on one visor were in a tight position but nothing seemed unusual.

I repositioned the wires on both visors as to provide the most relief from any tension as I reattached the visors. And guess what, What ever I did corrected my issue and my circuit has been working ever since.
