More Power

i've got a 2000 XLT with a 4.6 i would like to get more power out of it.has anybody done anything and gotten good results.i've found headers and cat back exhaust system,air intake,throttle body,throttle body spacer.i will proberly start with the cat back system and air intake.any input appreciated.:reddevil:

Replace it with a V10?

I'd start with a chip, intake and a good cat-back.

I'm not familar with the 4.6 in the trucks, but the 4.6 from the mustang makes about 260hp- the 2001 Bullitt makes around 270hp/300tq with intake, exhaust and some timing changes.

If you're seroius, there's always a supercharger.

Just remember the gas issue:

You can't get both More power and Better gas mileage.

Also, with the chip, you will have to use Premium (92) gas. I salute those that make the mods (I don't think I will), but just consider what it entails from a continued cost issue i.e. increased gas cost.

gas mileage is not a problem.i only use the truck on my days off.
