Hey all I am the proud new owner of a 2000 EB edition expedition, 2 wheel drive 5.4l with air ride in the rear. I think this was possibly the best buy I have ever found it has only 131774 miles on it. I got this from a friend of mine who owens a body shop it needed a fender and front bumper upper and lower control arms and spindle as well as tires. I think I got a good deal at 1000.00 dollars the air blows ice cold and the rear air suspension is working. what do you think? was this a good deal for my first expy?:pepper:

I will get pics in the morning just finished mounting 20" wheels and tires and it got dark.

Sorry guys I will have to post pics on monday or tuesday I dropped the truck off this morning to be aligned and it is going to spend the weekend at the shop. I went for a ride last night and it seemed like there was something wrong with the front suspension so I took it back to be checked out before I start to drive it everyday.

I bought mine in February 2011 and took it for a safety inspection at Belle Tire and they called me to tell me both lower ball joints were shot...replaced them both and did an alignment....still didn't feel real tight...just a month ago I was underneath while in Tennessee and saw the passenger side rubber bushing was missing on the front sway bar....Like gone...so I looked over at the left side and the sway bar pin and bushings were gone as well...to a trip to the Ford dealer replaced both pins and bushings and both front bar mounts including the steel mount as the one on the passenger side was broke in half...drives nice and tight...no I wonder if it really needed those ball joints??

Hey BakerEdition I purchased this after a front end colloision that parked it for a little over two years. The owner of the tow company also owns a body shop and an auto repair shop after the driver went to jail for dui the truck was never picked up so my buddy applied for a title. I purchased it a little over two years later and they towed it to my house. I replaced the fuel pump drained the oil replaced all the filters and she fired up and ran pretty smooth. I then changed the oil again just to be sure all that old stuff was cleaned out. I took the front passenger side wheel off and replaced it with the spare that was extremely dry. With it now running and air in all four tires it was time for a test drive almost instantly I knew there was front suspension troubles so I backed up in the driveway and pulled the front passenger wheel. I could see the spindle was damaged and the upper and lower control arms were also damaged. I replaced them and both front sway bar to lower control arm bushings. Now with all of this replaced I figured I could finaly drive this thing around the block I got to the end of my driveway and went to turn left and the truck went straight. I backed her up again and determed the steering box was toast so I replaced that with a new one and tried the test drive again I got halfway around the block and the spair tire decided to give out. I still have not made it around the block and I am begining to wonder why I ever purchased this thing. The following day after work I decided to go to the junk yard for a replacement for the damaged wheel in the accident they wanted 115 for the factory wheel I declined. With the factory size tires and a replacement wheel I was looking at about 1100.00. I then went to see a buddy at cruisin gold who set me up with some 20" einki phats for 400.00 and some used tires for 170.00 installed. I went and put them on the truck then it got dark so I went and got a shower a some dinner and then drove around the block. I was a little concerned about the way it road so I took it over to the shop it has bean sitting at for the last two years and told them to take alook at it they will put it on the machine and check it out.

WOW...sounds like it don't want to leave the house!! LMAO...well at least its 2 wheel drive and you don't have a bunch of real expensive stuff in the front end..I bought mine of Ebay police page...guy had a good rep and the pictures looked good...but 6300.00 for the truck and 900.00 to have something shipped was scary...but have been very much please with the truck...hang in there....if the guy was busted for drunk driving, probably wasn't the first time and never telling what he hit while he was buzzed..never the less the last thing you want is a piece of lawn art....
