Here are a couple pictures of my new 2012 Limited that I bought in Peru and took it on a couple trips in the mountains. The roads varied from major highways, to asphalt with many pot holes and speed bumps to narrow single lane gravel/dirt roads around high cliffs where you had to honk your horn at every turn and often back up to let a large truck or bus pass. The Ford performed real well and it certainly is built tough. A drop in power was noted at elevations over 13,000 ft but it never slowed down. When I reached the high plateau near Cerro de Pasco, the altitude was 4,900 meters. (roughly 16,000 ft) A lot of the speed bumps were large round concrete drainage culverts only partly covered with soil and the bounce was very noticeable and you had to really slow down. Once I came upon a wide section of high mountain road with construction equipment setting around and it was deep mud, I put it in automatic 4X4 and plunged right on through it, the same with a couple of river beds with a lot of rocks and stones.
