My 2011 F150 Lariat 4x4 supercrew has been a great vehicle, but with it now having north or 250,000 miles on a 3.5 eco boost I think it's time to re-vehicle. I've decided on a new Platinum (or KingRanch) Max, but I'll wait until the the 2021 models come out to see what changes from the new F150 migrate to the Expedition.

According to this website, I guess the earliest I can purchase is late November?

You can order one in mid-September according to another forum where a dealership manager posts:

  • 09/16/2020 - 2021MY Order Bank Open Date
  • 10/15/2020 - 2021MY Scheduling Begins
  • 11/30/2020 - 2021MY Job #1 Date

The 2021MY Expedition Order Guide should be available on or about the date that the USOB (Unscheduled Order Bank) opens.

I figured that from the website, but I think I'll order around end of December/first of January because I'm a little concerned if there's a lot of changes and if the "rona" virus is still screwing with employee attendance that there may be a few screwed builds. on the other hand there are so few options that I may find what I want on a dealer lot. If that's the case, I'll be taking a looooong test drive or weekend long test drive to make sure there's no weirdness before I write a check!

Dont expect any major changes to the 2021 expy. Nothing is scheduled for the expy and nav except the hybrid models which have a floating deadline(tentative 2023). The my21 f150 will give a look at what the new expy will be like in the future, but the expy usually doesnt see the new f150 changes for 3 to 4 yrs, and its usually last to see those things as well. Depending on what the order guide says, itll prolly be best to get a ledtover my20.
