Got a lil more done today.

Gonna start on the port and baffles later this weekend or next week.

A little update. Things have slowed way down, so I wanna pick it up again.

Threw the two 10"s in a 4th that I built for my gf in for something temp.




Started to try to round out all of the seem and corner areas. But when I figured out that it would a shitton of putty I was like F that lol.


And what it looks like now with the temp setup in.

Doing a lil glass work today. Burns like hell when it gets on the skin lol.

Liked this pic for some reason, gonna look real good when I organize the wires.


Put another layer of mat on, this is what it looks like now. I've glassed inside boxes on the wood, but never something like this with the cloth not against anything hard behind it. So I guess you could say that it's my first time glassing. Doesn't look too bad imo, just some places to smooth out.

Getting started on the other side. Those white spots were messing with me. Their completely saturated, maybe just discolored or something lol.

Gonna let that harden up a lil while I mow, then more layers of mat.

Got a layer of mat on. It went on smoother because I used a roller this time instead of a brush, worked quite well.


I'm almost out of resin, so I'll be done until I can get out and get some more. Maybe I'll do a lil work on the baffles and port or something.

It's been a while since I've done any work, but I did get a lil done today before going kayak fishing.

Made life a lil easier.

When I took this pic, I realized that I went a lil overboard with the glue lol.

Circles for hole cutouts, decided to use a screw instead of a pensil for some reason lol.


I'll hopefully get a lil more done tomorrow after riding and before fishing again. Gotta get out and get some more fiberglass too.

Haha I know what you mean. Kind of annoying when there is some kid next to you with some Best Buy system in a riced out Civic lol. I never go full tilt through neighborhoods or at red lights. Unless said kid in Honda Civic mentioned above is trying to play his haha.

Rest of the layers cut, just gotta cut holes out. The jig saw overheated half way through the first hole, so I'll be finishing that tomorrow lol.




First two layers glued and screwed.




I may end up doing another .75" baffle/beauty panel all in one piece and mount the subs to that, then do a layer of .5" to recess the subs. Making the baffle thickness a total of 5".

Two more layers of the driver side baffle cut. This leaves one more layer to put holes in for the driver side.





Just screwed in until tomorrow.

Not a real big update, but got all of the inner layers of the driver side baffle in.





I'm debating whether I wanna do another layer of .75" mdf across the front for the subs to mount to, then use either .5" or .75" mdf to recess the subs and for the beauty panels. Or if I wanna just mount the cubs to the baffles haw they are, then use .5" or .75" mdf to recess the subs and for the beauty panels. I'll probably go for the first idea but still debating lol.

Hopefully I'll start the other baffle tomorrow.

One damn cut, then pouring lol. Hopefully the rain stays away enough for some decent progress tomorrow. Late evening/night time thunderstorms and downpours ftw, afternoon/early evening thunderstorms and downpours ftl lol.

Once I get the other two layers on the baffle I'll have to wait until I wax the race trailer. The deal I'm working on is getting the rest of my build funded for waxing it lol.
