Well I wrecked my last expedition and have a new clean slate to work on. This time I'm doing true dual exhaust, last one had 2 in 1 out.
Since there isn't much room to fit dual without removing the spare, we had a little bit of a project. I'll post pics soon, but basically what we did was run two pipes out of hte dual muffler. Then I ran both pipes underneath the rear axle center portion at it's highest point. From there they each run to right and left sides and dump out behind the tires on a downward 45 degree angle.
The center of the axle is fixed solid to the chassis and doesnt move. This means the pipes can be mounted pretty close without worrying about them hitting while driving over bumps.
Even though it's 4wd, I won't be worrying about clearance. I only offroad sometimes, and besides that the shock mounts are about 3 inches lower to the ground than the pipes are. I'll make a little protective shield to help prevent sticks from denting the pipes up.
I used Spin Tech again for this system, after hearing my last system I'm sold on their products.
