New to me 1997 Expedition

I just purchased a 1997 Expedition XLT and I have a couple of questions. First: The A/C works in the rear but the front doesn't. Sitting still the A/C works but moving it goes to heat. From what I looked up, it's the blend door. Any suggestions on how to replace it without removing the whole dash?
Second: When I move the 4wd switch, the A4wd lights up. I can't get the 4wd high or 4wd low to engage. Would that just be the switch or the transfer case motor?

Suspect solenoid &/or vacuum line for the 4-Hi/Lo prob.

Check to make sure front drive shaft is installed! my was not... it saves gas while in 2wd mode.
