Hello! I am new to this sort of thing, and have no idea what I am doing. I own a 99 expedition, love it. Most of the time it has been easy to work on, and I am able to get through the problems.
I have one I can not figure out. When I have the AC on, and not putting a demand on the motor such as sitting at a stop light or costing the AC works fine. But once I put a demand on the motor, like to accelerate up a hill, or from a stop light I lose the air coming out of the vents. I feel it is a vacuum issue. I have checked and looked and can not find what I thing is causing the problem. Looking for any ideas, thinks Acaptain

I don't know if the vents are still vacuum controlled, but a guy in high school had the same problem with his families mini van. There was a vacuum cannister for the A/C for low vacuum situation. Either one of the lines going to it broke or the cannister was leaking. I don't remember the exact fix, but it was somewhere around there.
