Hey from central Indiana. Bought my '04 Expy Eddie Bauer 4x4 about a year ago for a growing family. Was pretty rough from the day one, dents and scratches, adjust pedals didn't work, lots of salt , little bit of bubbling paint under hood and on lift gate, cruise control was finicky, climate control was the same (a/c diverted to defrost on hills).

Fixed the pedals with WD-40, cruise control with patience, and found vacuum leak on climate control.

Thinking about 3/2 lift with 35s or close, wanting to get a travel trailer/camper, not sure how big we can go. Any suggestions?

Also, I have backup sensors but doesn't seem to have reverse sensing system in setup menu, kinda drives me nuts. Salesman said all 04 Expys had the "fake sensors" if it didn't have system. I still doubt that but can not get anything to show on display.

Thanks.

Welcome from Massachusetts!
What symptoms did you have for the pedals, no movement? Mine barely move and then stop.. I'll have to see if I can get some lubrication in there...

Pedals

It looked like the worm gear that drove the pedals had some serious gunk on it, my guess is that it was the factory lubricant. I just used some WD-40 and a rag to remove the hard stuff in the threads and just worked them back and forth until the motor was free to spin again.
I was definitely in an awkward position for about a half an hour but I was quite happy with my results, hope this helps.
