97 expedition puts out no heat and sounds louder when the heater is on cold you can feel cold but no hot air no heat felt and if so its on max and you could feel very little air through the vents.

truck does not leak, warms up quickly does not overheat, what is the problem.....heater core? or blender?

Unless the fan itself is not working I would say its a blend door issue.

Check the stupid crap first. Make sure both heater hoses are hot to the touch after the engine is warmed up.
You don't want to replace the heater core if you don't have to. Not hard to do just time consuming. It also helps if your fat challenged. Those of us that aren't, it is a tight fit.

Sounds like the blending door. Instead of removing the whole dash, I cut through the back of the glove compartment with a dremel tool to get to the door and remove the blending door motor. Took about 3-4 hours to do.
