I have an 04 with in dash changer, and factory overhead dvd for rear, with wireless headphones.

I have been reading TONS of threads, you guys rule, and feel relatively confident that I can swap head units using some of these badass harnesses available now... I was looking at the avic. based on a lot of people on here liking them.
at crutchfield

how would that integrate with my factory dvd though? would it still operate as it does now? put dvd's in the headliner unit and it plays it through the headphones? would I play dvd's on the head unit to view on ceiling screen...? would headphones still work...? any help, thread recomendations, web sites with info would really help me out.... thanks all!

I believe that the pac audio unit for the steering wheel controls can also be used for the dvd unit if Is factory.

Yes with the PAC peice it would work as factory. If you wanted to put on a DVD in the deck and play it in the overhead as well you would need to run some wires up from the deck to the overhead or where ever the AUX video input is, if there is one.
