Just took it out for the first time tonight after installing the headers. Not really sure about bottom end, mabe a little better but definitely noticed a difference in upper range. Much smoother powerband. No more flattening out around 4000rpm. Little more driving it around and I'll post again. And yes they do bolt to factory pipes. I also don't think I am getting the full effect of them considering I only have a cat back system and still have factory y which I would assume is my most restrictive part in my exhaust now.

How much effort? Read one fellow on here pulling the engine or something? I sure miss my mustangs when it comes to working on cars.

Nice job!

I installed my shorties while my motor was still on the engine stand. Glad I did because the TFS heads plus shorty headers had clearance issues. Some mild modifications were required. :)

Not sure what gasket you used but I shy away from the paper gaskets so many header manufacturers supply because I found they tend to leak over time. Much prefer the stainless combo oem uses.

Pretty good amount of effort. About 20 hrs to take off and put back. Fortunately all studs came out pretty easy. I put penetrating lube on them about twice a week for a month before doing them which I'm sure helped. Just really tight. Hardest part was getting the egr tube back on not exactly a perfect fit off by about 1/8 in. Used my torches and tubing bender to get it set right. Definitely don't want to do those again without good help

Nice set up.
I'm still trying to decide if I'm going long tube or shortie.
Definately dont like hearing about the EGR tube issue.
Gotta keep doing my research.
