After reading this thread i went outside and looked at my 2010. It also has paint bubbling just above the chrome piece where the rear window release is. I'm going to go to Ford tomorrow and have them check it out.

JUST A FYI RENINDER TO US EXPY OWNERS THESE EXPEDITIONS SHOULD HAVE A 10 YEAR 100K MILE CORROSION WARANTY ON THEM SO IF YOU HAVE THIS PROBLEM AND YOUR OVER 100K MILES YOUR OUT OF LUCK SO CHECK MILEAGE BEFOR YOU WAST YOUR TIME AT THE DEALER, NOW IF WE GET A PETITION STARTED THEN FORD JUST MIGHT THROW OUT A RECALL ON THE (caps was on purpose )

I went to Ford today and saw the service manager about the paint bubbling on the liftgate. He claims that paint is only covered under the 3 year 36000 mile warranty. My expedition has 43000 miles on it now, but I told him I have the extended bumper to bumper warranty. He still claims it would not be covered...
