I am new to this forum and to owning an expedition (I just purchased a 97 XLT). My indicator does not turn on when the parking brake is set, and I have determined it is the switch. If I reach up and depress the plunger by hand and wiggle it, it will come on. I would like to replace this switch, or clean it, but can't figure out how to get to the back side to get it out. It is up behind what appears to be a large brace. Any help here is greatly appreciated.
