Passenger door lock

The passenger door lock feature doesn't work on my 2008 SSV (police model). I replaced the switch with a new one to no avail.
The passenger cannot lock the door from the inside.
With the door open, the door can't be locked.
I'm wondering if this is a feature of the police model only.
Any help and advice is appreciated.

Some of the police departments disabled door locks, but they usually did just the rear doors and disconnected the rod that went to the inside door release handle.

I think your lock's just goobered up. Open up the panel and see what's going on.

Thanks. There is no noise at all when I push the "lock" button, so I think the problem is electrical, if there is a problem.

Start with the basics. Fuse, wiring up to the switch, grounds. It's probably simple.
