Just looking for some friendly confirmations! I have an 04 EB 5.4 4x4-This is a 2v engine right? Therefore changing plugs shouldn't be a total shocker?

Dropping tranny fluid this week, have new filter and fluid on order. Kit doesn't include gasket which apparently is reusable? Is this genuine? Maybe I'm being old fashioned but I guess if kit doesn't have one, maybe it is legit.

Tranny gasket is reuseable. Just make sure you stick with the torque settings otherwise you may warp the pan. If this is the first time the fluid has been changed don't be surprised if you find a little yellow plug thing in the bottom of the pan. This just a plug used at the factory. Just throw it away.
Plugs aren't complicated but the back 2 will test your patience and your tool kit..good luck.

Thanks for your advice. Will crack on then I guess. Car has 102000 so I hope this is not the first change of tranny fluid.....only had it 6 months.

Any recommendations on types of ratchets, knuckles, extensions for the plug job? It looks like it is going to be a ***** in terms of access.

I can't remember what combination of extensions I used - the main thing is to watch out for some the vacuum pipes on the pax side.

I changed my plugs for the first time Thursday. On the passenger side if you disconnect the PCM and remove it it will making changing the plugs on that side so much easier..
