2001 f-150 5.4 148k no major issues. Cracked cops replaced them and the plugs around 145k Thermo and I did the all the work. A/C compressor locked up 2 summers ago, had it towed to a national chain, and they replaced it. I new it was making noise and if I would have address it i would have just been able to replace the pulley wheel, I think.

325K miles on my 99 F150. It is a Triton V8, tow pkg, 2WD, automatic and the engine is going down hill, going thru a little over a quart of oil about every 3K miles. I can't complain too much as she's been a great truck. My biggest complaint is that over the years it has chewed up coil packs (thank God for life time warranties). Given the economy and new truck prices we will be replacing the engine and transmission. I reckon' that is a topic for another thread.

2003 Still Going Strong

108,000 No Major Issues, Ten Years Old And Plenty Of Small Ones. EB Limited, 5.4, 2wd, Tow, Nav, Hot & Cold seats, Pwr 3rd row, Moonroof, Rear entertainment. Just sold.

Just needed something more dependable for long trips and wanted something new. So I finally sold it and absolutely like the new one. Amazing that the price had not changed that much and so many new features. We both especially like the XM radio with the travel service that shows the weather radar and highlights storms with hail and severe weather. The touch screen Nav and voice controls are welcome relief to the type each letter in that the 03 Nav had. The new one has virtually the same equipment as the old one just modernized. Ford really needs to update that engine.

'97 XLT with 220k. No issues. Always used a little oil (syn).
Only thing ever replaced were bad cops and an alternator.
Body and transmission were going, so replaced with
'05 XLT, currently with 67k. Engine fine with same rate (slight)
oil consumption. Same problem of rusted radiator supports and aluminum tailgate blistering around license light brow from
dissimilar metals.

Spark plugs changed and some screaming belt pulleys.
Radiator support badly rusted and it seems that the sway bar link kit always dies on me..... I've changed those 3 times since I have the truck, and I bought it 4 years ago at 42k.....and using Motorcraft parts!
