I'm looking at a 2004 Expedition and the guy said that when they installed a new battery the navi stop working and Tranns stared to act up any Suggestion...trucks start right 1st and 2nd gear work going into 3rd it seems like it goes into neutral............

That would be my first guess, not being there to drive it.

Check all fuses and there was one bad and it was one to the radio.........I guess the trans need to be rebuilt....

if the trans is shot...more than likely they didnt take care of the motor either...if youre dead set on getting it...get ur mechanic to do a full review on it and go from there...

The motor sounds nice and heathy....no oil leaks or smoke.

u need to drive it....go through the spectrum of rpms and see if there are any misfires...jerking...etc

I drove it and there's no misfire only thing is transmission won't take 3rd.

again...not battery related...could be a simple fix...so i would take it to trans shop for diagnosis and repair cost...split the cost or tell him to fix before selling

Yes I bought it...my mechanic said the transmission is bad.

I bought it dirt cheap.....the 3rd gear on transmission was shot..

I wish the labor cost and parts cost for fixing your transmission are also dirt cheap. Kindly let us know how much for the total cost for informational purposes. Thank you.
